One of the reasons to choose our service is our long history in the domestic construction industry. Our learned proprietor, Tom Rutland, grew in the trade alongside traditional skilled workers, and has experience from labouring work right up to skilled finishing, and engineering works like plumbing. He began by observing trades on site as he  assisted them in their work. This included every trade, from steel fixing and foundations, to plastering. The only trade not observed in this environment was decorating, as the team had usually moved on to another job by that stage. Over time his interest in carpentry outpaced all the other work going on around the site, and after attaining a level of acheivement in theis, he started Elephant Furniture, which became Elephant Handyman Service. The greatest development in E.H.S came from working with landlords, as they demanded that Tom become a multi-trade, taking on plumbing, decorating, and other remedial works such as boundary repairs. Being accustomed to learning on-site, these acquired skills developed very quickly, into professional services.
